Melissa attended the Saint Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in May of 2023. While in law school, she was named to the Dean’s List (Fall 2022) and was a recipient of an Academic Excellence Award (Fall 2021). Prior to studying law, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Human Resources Management in 2019 from the same university, graduating cum laude. While in undergraduate school, she was named to the Dean’s List (Fall 2017 & Spring 2019) and was a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Board (Spring 2018). Melissa is currently licensed and is ready to help clients in the State of Missouri.
Before joining the St. Louis family law attorneys at Stange Law Firm, PC, Melissa gained legal experience working as an Intern at the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Clayton, MO. There she assisted associate prosecuting attorneys in reviewing evidence, police reports, witness statements, and criminal history. Melissa also aided with legal research, presented the state’s position at pretrial hearings, and attended trials, bond hearings, plea hearings, and preliminary hearings. Melissa also worked as an Intern at a law office in St. Louis where she assisted in casework, drafted petitions, and handled minor criminal cases. She looks forward to developing her legal skills and working hard to help her clients get back on their feet.
