Penny obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies and Theatre Arts from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. From there she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law, where she also earned a spot on the Dean’s List. Penny has made contributions to legal education by writing several chapters on varying law topics for the Missouri Bar Association, including Juvenile Law and Criminal Practice. She is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri.
Prior to joining Stange Law Firm, Penny has accumulated years of legal experience working in various types of law, including at one time owning her own practice. Her areas of experience include business law, where she drafted and negotiated contracts, dealt with employment issues and contracts, and represented corporate entities in litigation. She has also worked with wills and estate planning, working on complex wills, trusts, beneficiary deeds, and establishing power of attorney. Her private practice included practicing family law, working on dissolutions, custody disputes, child support, paternity, and guardianship. She brings a well-rounded and diverse legal background to the firm and her clients in Columbia.
In her spare time, Penny enjoys quilting, gardening, and reading. She also recently purchased some land to start raising alpacas.
