Serena Yniguez is a Junior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Columbia, MO office location and she is ready and able to help guide you through your case.
Serena obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2018. While in law school, she also displayed leadership skills as the Student Bar Association 1L Class Representative and as an Executive Board Member of the Hispanic Law Student Association. Prior to studying law, Serena attended the University of Southern California where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History. She is currently licensed in the state of Missouri.
Prior to joining the Columbia, MO family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, Serena spent time working in various legal roles. Most recently, she worked as a Division of Labor Standard and Compliance Investigator for the Colorado Department of Labor. In this role she was tasked with interpreting and analyzing Colorado wage and hour laws, investigating wage disputes, issuing determinations on disputes, and providing clarification of rules and regulations to the public. She also recently spent time as a Tax Legal Research Analyst for H&R Block where she assisted with researching and analyzing federal tax law regulations for clients, assisted in answering federal tax law questions, and investigated legal tax issues and interpreted the law to clients to help prevent IRS auditing. While in law school, Serena also spent time as a Legal Clerk for a law firm in Kansas City, a Legal Intern for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Kansas City, and as a Financial Services Division Legal Intern for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office in Jefferson City.
Outside of her legal practice, Serena enjoys spending time outdoors and loves running and hiking. She also likes to spend quality time with her family and friends, and is a fan of country music and going to concerts.
