Colegrove Withers is a Junior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Des Moines, Iowa office. Drawing on experience gained as a law clerk, student attorney, and litigation paralegal, Colegrove offers a well-rounded perspective on the legal process from initial case evaluation through resolution. He is committed to providing responsive representation and helping clients feel informed, prepared, and supported every step of the way.
Colegrove earned his Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School. Prior to attending law school, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Grand View University and an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from Des Moines Area Community College.
Throughout law school, Colegrove developed practical legal experience through a variety of clerkships and student attorney positions. His responsibilities included conducting legal research, drafting motions and appellate briefs, reviewing case materials, and assisting attorneys with trial preparation and litigation strategy. He also served as a student attorney with the Drake Legal Clinic, where he worked on appellate matters, analyzed client records, and helped develop case strategies.
Before pursuing his legal education, Colegrove worked as a litigation paralegal, managing case records, coordinating document requests, communicating with opposing counsel, and assisting with client intake. This experience strengthened his organizational abilities and reinforced the importance of clear communication and attentive client service.
