Lamonté Pryor is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Houston, Texas office. Lamonté brings a unique background in judicial operations, legal research, and public service to his practice. His experience working closely with judges and attorneys has shaped a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to legal matters, with an emphasis on preparation, communication, and understanding the issues that matter most to each client.
Lamonté earned his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where he concentrated in Intellectual Property and participated in several student organizations. He also earned a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the District of Columbia. He is licensed to practice law in Texas.
Prior to joining the firm, Lamonté served as a Judicial Law Clerk with the District of Columbia Superior Court, where he conducted legal research, drafted memoranda for judges, and assisted with judicial opinions. His earlier experience with the court included serving as a judicial intern and spending several years as a Deputy Clerk, giving him valuable insight into courtroom procedures and case administration.
Lamonté’s background also includes public service through the White House Internship Program, the Office of a Washington, D.C. Councilmember, and the Office of a United States Congressman. Drawing on these varied experiences, he strives to be a steady and approachable advocate who helps clients feel informed and prepared as they move through the legal process.
