Based in our Indianapolis, Indiana office, she is prepared to represent clients throughout Marion County and the surrounding areas.
Simranjit earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, graduating with her Juris Doctor in May 2024. During law school, her extracurricular activities included being a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Women’s Law Caucus, and Business Law Society. Prior to law school, Simranjit earned her Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
Before joining the Indianapolis, Indiana divorce and family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, Simranjit worked on a wide range of legal matters with a focus on supporting both institutional and individual clients. Most recently, she represented public school districts and other organizations in civil rights defense, addressing claims under Title VII, the ADA, and Section 1983 through motion practice, agency responses, and discovery planning. She also has experience guiding individuals through immigration matters, including naturalization, J-1 waivers, family-based adjustments, and work permit renewals, ensuring clients understood each step of the process. In addition, she has assisted asylum seekers and other vulnerable populations by preparing detailed memoranda and motions in complex immigration proceedings. Her background also includes courtroom exposure in criminal law, where she managed preliminary examinations, conferences, and plea agreements while supporting trial preparation.
